Yeah, of course it is. In reality, this happens with a lot of bands, but I think the difference with us is, there is a real – and I’m sure you’ve felt it from the times you’ve interviewed us – there is a real sense of, we’re like brothers, honestly, and I think the press like to write that it’s so competitive and all this kind of thing, but in reality – I’ve said before – if I didn’t have a job right now, and had never got into any of this – and me sister’s doing really well – l’m never jealous or competitive. I’m just so, so proud, and that’s the same way I feel when I see Niall playing these great radio shows in America to so many people, and see Harry stood next to Tom Hardy. You know, it’s unbelievable , yeah. But to finish, of course, one day, I don’t know when, but yeah, well of course we’ll get back together. It’s a no brainer.

Is the hiatus true? Louis on BBC Radio. BTY release day.

Louis with a pretty definitive answer on the hiatus, and another Harry mention.

So I’m kinda just singing there, just chilling. And I can kinda like see everyone’s eyes turning to like look at me. And I’m like ‘this is a bit awkward and uncomfortable’. Anyway, Bebe’s been like sat there for the last 15 seconds trying to hold out respect. And I was like… Oh, come on, Tommo.

Like I said to my best mate, Oli, I want there to be songs on the album that I could play to your mum, and she could listen to it and take something away from it. Maybe she doesn’t love the song, but lyrically she’ll understand something about me. This is something that – for me, anyway – it doesn’t feel like we have enough of. A lot of artists use words because they sound nice, or because it works for the science of the song. Again, that’s why bands like Arctic Monkeys are so great. They don’t work on any script or any maths or science. They just say what they feel. If it doesn’t rhyme, it doesn’t matter. If it sounds awkward, it doesn’t matter. I think, especially with being lucky enough to have a big fanbase, I want to say to them, “Look, lyrics actually matter, and I want to show you why”.
